Goodrich Completes Acquisition of TEAC Aerospace Technologies...On February 29, 2008, Goodrich announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire TEAC Aerospace Technologies, Inc.
On February 29, 2008, Goodrich announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire TEAC Aerospace Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of airborne military mission recording and commercial aircraft video recording systems. The acquisition was completed April 17, 2008. The newly acquired business will be part of Goodrich’s Sensors and Integrated Systems business.
Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems provides a broad range of systems to the aerospace industry worldwide including SmartProbe™ air data systems, Electronic Flight Bag systems, security and surveillance systems, fuel measurement and management systems, vehicle health management systems, ice detection and protection systems, and rescue hoists and cargo winch systems. TEAC’s recording and in-flight entertainment systems add to an already broad portfolio of military and commercial aerospace products.
Goodrich’s goal is to provide solutions to the aerospace market that bring value to our customer and improve their performance and competitive advantage. We’re confident you’ll see the added value of this acquisition as we continue to serve the military and commercial aerospace, defense, and homeland security markets.
On contractual documents and quotations, you will continue to see the TEAC Aerospace Technologies, Inc. name. This is the legal name of our Monterey Park, California based business. We will continue to use the legal name references as contractual and certification issues require.
